My mother and I love all things French. French food, French clothing, French jewelry, French wine. And we are always taking photos of the cute little cars and utility trucks that drive around the city.
But what we love more than anything else are vintage French markets. They have the most unique, classic and fabulous treasures. We started this business because my mother is fortunate enough to live in Paris. And really, could there be a better reason?
Secondly, we love to shop for cool, one of a kind gems. We constantly hear that there's no place in the world better to find these types of items than Paris. And, they are right. It is truly the land of fun, fabulous gifts. Everyone is special. She and I have had so much fun getting this business up and running. Frankly, most of the items we've bought, we've really wanted to keep.
What you'll find here at My French Attic is an ever-changing collection of French vintage treasures. All of these items were found by us during our many trips to the famous brocantes (French for market of second-hand goods).
We strive to find only really interesting pieces. We are starting with jewelry and accessories but will soon be adding housewares and silverware.
We will constantly add new pieces to our inventory. Please keep coming back often to see what's arrived.
Merci!

ABOVE: That is my mother checking out the vendor's items. We were at a brocante along the River Seine in Paris. Wow, it was so pretty. It wasn't a huge brocante, but it had great vendors. We found lots of silverware at that vintage market. Also, if you look closely at the bottom of the photo there is a cute dog resting underneath the table.

ABOVE: I am at a medium-sized antique market in one of the best areas in Paris. It was a stone's throw from Rue Cler, which is a small, but awesome outdoor food market. My mom used to live near that area but since moved to a different part of Paris. Anyhow, I had just found an amazing vintage ring from this vendor. I loved it so much I wanted to keep it for myself. Don't worry, it will be on the site soon.
